93 3.8 to 01 3.8 swap questions

hey guys new here and just had some questions about an engine swap..

the engine on my 93 3.8L tbird lx is finished. the berring are stripped or something like that and i can get an 01 ford 3.8L v6 from a mustang for a good price but im not to sure if its gonna be an easy swap the guy selling it says that it all should fit in pretty easily hes just not to sure if the engine will fit into the AOD tranny so i was wondering if anyone has done something similar or if anyone knows if it will fit the tranny

it will bolt to the AOD tranny.

as far as how hard/possible. it will work, but you'll need to do some custom wiring for the IMRC's for the Split port mustang engine. But theres been a few people to do the splitport swap. Look at the top of the page, for the splitport swap sticky.

You'll also either need to convert the car over to DIS ignition, or do some custom work involving the EGR valve placement to get a distributor to fit on the splitport engine.

A search on "splitport" or "splitport swap" would give you a ton of info on this swap.
