Torque specs

I want to check the torque specs on the heads. I ahve all the steps, but i'm sure if the last steps are right.

6. Torque to 11-18ft.lbs
7. Rotate 180*

ive never seen any thing like this before, so after i do the sequence, losen them up, torque them to 11-18lbs, then just turn them a 1/2 turn and i'm done? I figured there would be a more percise way than "rotate 180*".

If this is right, then so be it, but i'd jsut like to make sure before I do this and they blow because there isnt enough pressure holding the heads/hg's on.

yes, but watch the bolts and the torque setting before going half a turn, each one to begin with in this sequence:
15 ft lbs
30 ft lbs
37 ft lbs

Loosen bolt 1 or 2 complete rotations (360 to 720) ONE at a time, loosen it, do the following, then move to the next one.

If a long bolt:
30-37 ft lbs
THEN 175 to 185 degrees (half a turn)

If a short bolt:
15-22 ft lbs
THEN 175 to 185 degrees (half a turn)

Thanks alot man, I just wanted a second oppinion to make sure.

My torque wrench goes from 20-100foot pounds, would it be ok, if I did 20,32,and 39ft.lbs on the first sequence? its only a 2 pund difference, but I jsut want to make sure.
