Question o2 sensor interchange

I got a new o2 sensor from a friend for free. It is for a 94 3.8L lx. I was thinking that I could use it for my 93 3.8L lx but it has a different part number. I know that some of the cars with california emissions had different sensor numbers, but both of ours arent. So the question is would this be ok to use on my car when i need it? Didnt at some time the later 6 cyl cars have 4 o2 sensors?? Thanks

You'll be able to use it.

96-97 3.8L's had 4 oxygen sensors.

Thanks for the info guys!! I wonder why ford had different part numbers for these, it seems like the earlier ones 89-91 had different part numbers also. Weird.
