2000 mustang 3.8

looking at a motor, guy tells me it will only mate up to a manual tranny??anyone know if this is true?? I find it hard to believe, never heard of that before, but who knows.

I know the 5.0's have different balance between autotragic and stick, make sure you got the right balancer and hit it.

Dunno where yah got that from but its not true.

The guy must have meant that with the FLYWHEEL it will bolt to a stick. you would have to remove the flywheel and the backing plate for the correct Automatic Flexplate and backplate.

gotta watch the 2000 year though,, cause it was a mid year change from when they went to a outside balance engine to a internal zero balanced engine,, easily identified by the harmonic balancer.
