manual v automatic 3.8 splitport

looking at buying a 2000 mustang 3.8 splitport, seller says it will only mate up w a manual tranny, he said there are little stickers on the back of the engines that say "automatic" and "manual". he claims mechanics in his area have confirmed this. does anyone have info about this/ I want to buy it, but if it wont fit my auto tranny, i'll rebuild my motor. Thanks for any experienced answers from you guys out there

It'll bolt up to the engine, but I hope your current Tranny is Jmodded to handle the increased power from the splitport
