engine idea

ok. I had future (like 2 years) plans of dropping a 4.2L v6 in my car...and putting a nice set of heads and the stang intake on it. But...the main diff between the 99+ 3.8 v6 and my 96 3.8 is the heads and intake, right? So..couldnt I get the morana stage 3 heads made for split port intake, and get the 99+ stang intake, plus a few other things and be pretty close or past the stock stang hp output? I think that would be much easier and cost less, since i was planning on those heads on the 4.2 anyway... I just thought that since the 4.2 is what, 210hp and the stang is 200?

if i need to explain my idea more..let me know

i just wanted to get some opinions on this...

You could go that way, then buy a 4.2 shortblock later if you wanted to. The '99+ 3.8 makes 190 hp. The 4.2 makes 255 lb-ft of torque, though. What you're suggesting has been done many times by the Mustang guys.

i would put probably 24lb/hr fuel injectors, custom ground cam, morana stage 3 heads, 99+ intake, underdrive pulleys (possibly - might sell stereo first, since im running over 1000w)...and whatever is left on the first two stages of power adding...

hmm..im liking this idea

any more suggestions?
