Electronic Shift Control Sensor

Can you give me a part number and price on a electronic shift control sensor for a 2002 Ford Explorer v8 Eddie Bauer edition?

OK.

Here's the situation: I have the dreaded "Check Advtrac" message in the message center. Based on the research I have done, the recommended solution was to replace the Electronic Shift Control Sensor which is a sensor under the dash. The symptoms of this problem are that we can select any 4x4 mode, Advantrac is disabled and the 4x4 High and Low light flashes during driving occasionally.

We're stuck in two wheel drive until I can fix it. Is that enough of a description to help out?

Supposedly this is a picture of it:

Does your tech think that is the solution to the problem based on what I said?

Nah, I haven't brought it to a dealership since the cost isn't justifiable. The vehicle is basically 7 years old and paid off. If it's going to cost more than a of hundred dollars to fix then it's not really worth messing with since that's probably just the first of many things to start happening based on what I'm reading of other people's experience. If I can fix it myself and keep it running for another year or so then I will do that.
