Pads and Rotors

for a 97 Bird LX, stock
I would need for all four corners.

A friend who works for a local shop told me $300, which seems steep. It was for replacement rotors and PFC Carbon Metallic pads.

Is there a difference in quality between motorcraft and the a/m? How much would just rotors be? I'm got a friend who works at a brake shop and can get me some pretty sweet pads at a decent price.
