It will fit, but a few modifications will need to be made to the new transmission and the electrical harness before it can be used.

The info is out there...

You will need to reuse your TCC solenoid, possibly another solenoid (can't recall off hand) and repin the harness. Do a quick search I'm sure it'll turn up.

If you can't make the few needed modifications to make it work you shouldnt be swapping transmissions

simple answer is NO. The only transmissions that you can put into your car without any modifications would not be worth buying. Any decent transmission needs to be modified.

98+ got a mechanical diode on the reverse drum in place of a roller clutch.
Valvebodies and frictions got better over the years. Stub shaft upgraded around 02 as well as the gearset parts. Large overdrive servo's became the only one where your car has the small one.
it is just a bunch of stuff that adds up to a considerably better transmission.

So the only thing I have to mess with is the TCC sol, MLPS, and the harness right?

The '00 GT TC will work with my 4.6?

You will need a 96-98 mustang or markVIII flexplate.
