Mustang 4R70w Trans in 1997 Thunderbird?

I just saw an ad from someone who is selling a "Ford 4RW70 transmission just rebuilt for a 2001-2003 Mustang" - I'm assuming this would work in a 1997 4.6 liter V-8Thunderbird? If so, would it just bolt right in and be ready to go or does anything on the car or the new trans have to be changed/modifiedf for it to work in my T-Bird?

Sorry if this info has been covered on here, but I'm on the road and currently sitting in a travel plaza on the PA turnpike and I don't have a lot of time to search for that info.

Stop driving and typing! lol

Yes, It fits BUT you'll need to repin the harness connector, swap the shift lever, and use a different VSS gear.
