95 Mark VIII 4R70W

Would a 1995 Mark VIII 4R70W mate directly into a 1995 T-Bird?

Yes but it would be a waste of effort since the 93-95 trannys are garbage anyway.

Yeah, what those guys said! I was debating on a rebuild of my 97 mark tranny and these guys finally convinced me to go with the 98 and later. After me hassling them to death I might add. I know I made the right decision taking these guys info. Good luck.

They're not even worthy of a core exchange, but if it works and it's free it would be OK as a backup sitting in the garage.

After further reading I think it's safe concluding that if I could theoretically dump the old 95 transmission for something much newer used? Up to 02'? I'm basically looking to replace things proactively before they die underneath.
