Reverse Issue

Hey this is kind of a strange problem I've been having with the Mark for a while but kept forgetting to ask. If I am parked on an incline, and I put the car in reverse, it rolls forward. While this often isn't a problem it is a major pain when backing from a spot onto a street as it requires two foot driving. Does anybody know what causes this? It didn't happen on my 97' bird. Thank you.
