Help Me find the correct 4R

I have a Turbo 04 Mach 1 with a T56 as of now. Im over this notchy trans and a stalled auto would go great with the turbo so I need help with what yr/model trans i should look for. Want a core to rebuild and do alittle at a time. Ive found a 02 expedition 4.6 with a 4r70. From what ive been able to find it should be the correct length? Im goin MVB. Just really need to know what yr will work with my speed sensor? If this trans isnt the best yr then what should i look for? Ive read the 04+ 4r75 are the best but they are impossible to find in a junk yard around here. Seems to be alot of good info on here abut the 4r trans. Thanks for any help Nick

you can use any either a vss or an oss for inferred vehicle speed

the 03+ have better internals

So is the 03+ worth spending 600+ on a stock trans as to where i can get the 02 expo trans for 90$ plus the rebuild? It wouldnt be a stock rebuild either so are the weaker parts being replaced when its gettin a rebuild? I know there is a shaft(cant remember name) that needs to be upgraded and then the clutchs. Car only makes little less then 500 now (stock motor) but plan to make 700-800 in the next year or so.

in a nutshell ...yes. Most of the 03+ components are hardened.
