VB backing plates across years

I started my jmod this week finally. Tonight I drained everything and dropped the valve body. The car is a 95 bird with under 100k. The fluid was actually in pretty good condition and the little plunger was even still in the pan from the factory. I was also surprised to see all three backing plates on the valve body. Is that normal? I was only expecting two based on my reading and it being a 95 for some reason.

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!

cool. thanks. I've watched that JMod video from CV.net so many times that I forgot that it was a trans not from a bird. I had to call it quits after I pulled the valve body. Hopefully I'll have more time to work on it this weekend.
