99 Crown Vic trans issues, need help fast please.

Okay, so I got a trans for the swap into the Cougar, it's from a 99 Crown Vic and I have a few issues that I need to work out and only have until Friday to do it.

I was told that the wiriing harness would be needed from my car, but that the black box by the shift linkage needs to be swapped over. (done) And that a pin needs to be moved over on one of the connetors. I'm comfortable doing that but I have no clue what I need to do. Which pin and where to where? I picture would be awesome since my wiring is limited to a living room lamp project.

Second, the shift linkage on the trans is completely different. My old trans has the lever on the bottom, and the rearmost position is park. The new trans has a 3 piece lever system with the lever on the top, putting park in the foremost position. No idea how to fix that. Thanks guys for any and all help.

Here's me, doing this same swap ~9 years ago.

It has pretty much everything in it; read the transmission articles, read this, and any linked pages, and it won't be too bad.

Good Luck!!

The teflon seals are a must do on a junkyard tranny, or it will fail too; also, the rubber inside is old by now, and leaking.
