4R70W 97 work on 94 bird?

well pretty much im starting this thread because i would like to know wether or not a 1997 4R70W from a T-bird will work on a 1994 T-bird.....i would like to have a little bit of a stronger transmission, so i figure the 1997 would be good to get, if its not a direct swap add a list of the things that need to be changed.

thanks,
- Marc

97 is a better case, better main control. You shouldn't need to change anything, MAYBE put the MLPS from the old on on the new one, but that is unlikely. Just need to remember to get the filter for the 96-97 tranny from here on out.

Black connector one is what you should have, later ones are whites.

I cleaned it up and took out all the stuff you don't worry about.
