98 4R70W shafts

I did a couple of searchs, can't seem to find an answer. I could ask a seller, but they sometimes will tell you anything. LOL

With 550 hp, and 475 tq, what input and stub shaft, would hold up well?
I've been told the stock stuff is suspect above 400 ft/lbs because of the torque multiplication. Since I have it apart, I would consider an upgrade. Thanks

The input shafts are all the same you won't get a better one. The stub shaft has 3 versions. the first version is absolute garbage I believe it was replaced in 94 or 95. You should have the second shaft. The way to tell the difference in all the shafts is easy when you have them all side by side. the first shaft had a big groove in it. The second shaft had a taper on it and the third shaft has splines that go down a little farther with no taper or groove. The latest shaft is F8AZ-7F351-AA They aren't very expensive.

Thanks guys, I have the second, but if the newest one is stronger I'll price it. And if you guys think the stock input shaft will take it, I'll keep it.
