what dif and ratio do i have?

Hey i beleive this is a 3.08 open 8.8" dif... i ripped the tag off the top of the dif and ripped off a number i think. i asked this before in the newbie forum but i want to confirm, the car is a 1995 cougar xr7 with electronic traction control, the tag reads "S510F" and under (i think its missing a number at beginning) "08 88 5B24",

any thoughts?

1995 Cougar XR-7 4.6, stock 3.08s and a 4R70W trans
Current Mods: Custom 3" cold air intake, Springless J-mod, Mercon V, 96 Filter/Pan, Trans cooler, Ford Auxilary In-line Trans Filter, and straight pipes from 3rd cat and back.

Things i want: 3.73 trak-loc pumpkin, Aluminum Driveshaft, clear corners, new bumper and paint, 70% tint, chip, and i already have the parts for a swap to 2001 GT Mustang PI Intake
New tires, plugs, wires, water pump, altenator, front wheel bearings, and fuel filter. cooool.

Garrett look at the sticker on your drivers side door jam under axle code. You will fine what the letter means in the forums. I have a E under axle code = 3:27 TL

The S510F does come up as a 3.08 axle in the Ford parts catalogue, but it doesn't show if it is a locker or open. If it is the original, it will be an open diff. with traction control.

But check the door tag as mentioned, to be sure.

cheers
