3.90 Ring/Pinion?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to go from 215/60R15's on my RR to a 245/60R15. I currently run 3.73's and that combo is perfect for my track, gearing wise. When I go to the 245's, it looks as though to keep the same engine RPM's I'll need a 3.9~ set of gears, are they even out there, or am I going to have to get 4.10's and scream this little piggy? I'm not to worried about turning the engine over 5500RPM, but I'm still running the factory T/C and everything I've read says thats certain death over 5500RPM.

Also, I'm running in 2nd gear, I've heard it wouldnt be a bad thing to get this thing out of 2nd, what would it take to run this thing in drive? I guess I could keep it from shifting while racing through the tune?

Any ideas?

Thanks for the info,

Brandon

Sweet! I had only checked with Ford Racing, and the few sites that had MG listed didnt have 3.90's

I think whenever I do gears I'll probably go with 3.90s, they're a nice compromise between 3.73s and 4.10s.
