Non-Tbird/Cougar 9" questions

I have searched the internet for 9 inch rear end information. While there is quite a lot of information I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I thought maybe someone here knows.
  1. I am buying parts to rebuild a 9 inch rear for my '73 F100. I have decided on 3.50 gears but I see that 3.55's are available. I know that I won't feel any difference in the two but I am guessing that one is more durable than the other. 3.50 is 35 teeth on the ring gear and 10 on the pinion. 3.55 is 39 teeth on the ring and 11 on the pinion. I don't plan on putting massive amounts of torque to it but for a $20 difference I figured I should get the stronger of the two.
  2. I am putting a limited slip unit in. I do not want to use a unit that uses clutches. I am looking at the Detroit Truetrac. Does anybody have anything to say about this unit, good or bad?
