Will A Diff From A 97 Mustang GT Fit My 95 Cougar

I apologize if this has been asked a bunch of times. I remember reading somewhere on here that some Mustangs have a solid axle.

There's a trak loc diff a few hours away for a couple hundred bucks out of a 97 Mustang GT and I've been kicking around putting a trak loc in this thing.

My car's got the 8.8 rear end so that matches up.

Nope, won't work. The solid axle diff has different side gears, and your axles will slide in, but you'll never get them out again.
