Any year MarkVIII will work, but they are all open diffs, so you would need to get an IRS trak-lok unit. For cobras, any 99-04 housing will work, but 99 was the only year that had the 28 spline axles, which you need, so if you get an 01-04 cobra housing you will need to replace the spider gears with 28 spline IRS trak-lok ones.

You will need to have the unit built for you, picking up a used one is not an option.

Yes but every one I have seen was 3.55 ratio. Only the FRPP were 3.73 and they are long gone.

'99 Cobras are 3.27's w/28 splines, the only diff that is a straight swap.

'01 Cobras are 3.27's but with 31 splines.

'03 and '04 Cobras are 3.55's with 31 splines.

I can machine the side gears for you, but IRS gears are IRS specific.
